For the second Wednesday in a row, the Downtown Santa Rosa Market, including its certified farmers market, is cancelled due to rain. The calendar may say June but the skies certainly don’t.

The Petaluma Wednesday Night Market kicks off today at 4:30 p.m. and it is a rain-or-shine market so if you need to shop for produce, bundle up, grab your umbrella and make some farmers happy. I can guarantee they will all be very glad to see you, as will market manager Erica Burns-Gorman. The market, which takes place between 4:30 and 8 p.m., is located in the theater district, on Second St. between B and D Streets. For more information about the Petaluma certified farmers markets, click here and check back at Eat This Now, as I’ll be featuring the Petaluma farmers in an upcoming “Fresh From Our Farmers” post.
