On Saturday, the Santa Rosa Original Farmers Market will offer free valet bike parking from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Riders will thanked for their physical–and environmental–efforts with a $2 market voucher (good for any market purchase), a complimentary cookie and free coffee. There will also be a drawing for a child’s bike, donated by REI.

This Saturday is the third week in a four-week spring gardening series at the market. There will be information about selecting the right plants for your garden, along with a free basil seedling in a compostable container. The final week, next Saturday–May 5–features free pumpkin plants.

The Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market, founded in 1978 and currently managed by Paula Downing, takes place in the east parking lot of the Veterans Memorial Building at the corner of Maple and Brookwood Avenues in Santa Rosa. It starts at 8:30 a.m. and wraps up at 1 p.m.
