The Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market will take place this Sunday, not Saturday. The change is for this week only.

This shift is necessary because of a previously scheduled event at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts. Events at the Center are scheduled many months in advance and all those in place before the market moved to its current location last May must be honored. The market’s board of directors are working with the Center and the county to find a permanent home so that the day or the location does not have to shift when there is a large event at the facility.

The market will be held at the usual time, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the southeast parking lot at 50 Mark West Springs Rd., Santa Rosa.

One of the market’s highlights is 100% grass fed beef from Salmon Creek Ranch, which is on sale through the month of January. It’s $6.99 a pound instead of $7.99 when you buy ten pounds. It is some of the finest beef I’ve ever tasted. They also have their delicious duck. And if you’re looking for a healthy treat for you pup, you won’t do better that their Ducky Dog Treats, thinly sliced and dried duck liver. My little dachshund loves it.

You’ll find  a full list of vendors here.
