As you have probably been hearing, Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!

This is the world’s newest wine, released annually around the world on the third Thursday of November.  Traverso’s is offering 10 percent off through Saturday on their four arrivals, Louis Tete, Bouchard, Drouhin and Kermit’s Depueble. Look for other specials at markets near you.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate, too, including on Saturday with the Alliance Français de Santa Rosa, at a fete taking place at the Vista del Lago Club House, and on Sunday at the French Garden Restaurant, which is hosting a prix fixe menu from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Again, check close to home for other celebrations.

Or host a fete yourself. Gather some friends, pick up a few bottles and use this menu of dishes from the Seasonal Pantry archive for inspiration. And don’t forget your beret. And one more thing to keep in mind; Beaujolais Nouveau is a great choice for your Thanksgiving table.
