The hamlet of Freestone comes alive Sunday with “A Taste of Freestone” from 1 to 4 p.m.

I'll be signing copies of my newest book, Vinaigrettes & Other Dressings, at Freestone Artisan Cheese from 1 to 4 on Saturday.

Freestone Artisan Cheese will offer samplings of Water Buffalo Gelato (from Di Bufala Dairy), Gypsy Rose Cheese and salad greens from the Bohemian Farmers’ Collective, which will be gussied up with recipes from my latest book Vinaigrettes and Other Dressing: 60 Sensational Recipes to Liven Up Greens, Grains, Slaws, and Every Kind of Salad. I’ll be there, too, to sign book, chat and dress the greens. The adorable little shop will also be showing new paintings by local artist Justina Selinger. Enduring Comforts will be full of whimsey and surprises, as it always is, and there will be free carriage rides between participating businesses, including Osmosis, which will be promoting new skin care products.

Wild Flour Bakery is always open on Sunday, too, so you might come extra early and enjoy a yummy sticky bun for breakfast.

Joseph Phelps Winery Tasting Room is hosting a wine club event at the same time and it’s also the first weekend of ArTrails, so you might want to come early to snag the best parking. And if you’re interested in enjoying a treatment at Osmosis, it’s a good idea to make a reservation, which you can do here.
