A flat of Dry Creek peaches

This weekend is your last chance to enjoy a ripe peach from Dry Creek Peach & Produce this year. The season is winding down and after they harvest Autumn Flame and Last Chance varieties–likely happening as I write–that will be it until the season begins again next June.

The farm stand will not be open today but will be open on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. And they will be at the Healdsburg Farmers Market on Saturday morning, too.

There’s more than just peaches at the farm stand. They also have jams and Bellini mix that are truly extraordinary. It’s amazing how much true peach flavor and fragrance are preserved.

I’m hoping to make it to the farm myself, so that I can make one more batch of peach chutney.

Here are recipes from the Seasonal Pantry archives that feature peaches; feel free to use yellow peaches in any of these dishes.
